Americas Next Top Model Season 14 Episode 4

Category: MediaEyeliah

This week was about limiting senses, first no speaking. The girls had to silently act out improv skits, I always dread these episodes as there is always a girl who just can’t laugh at herself. This season it was well, almost all of them. Then for a challenge was being the silent posing model in a voice-overed Cover Girl ad campaign on a times square jumbotron. Most the girls awkwardly shifted back and forth while holding the product but Tatianna got up there and danced around and shook her hair out and won, well done.

For the photoshoot it was limiting sight with white out lenses and a tub of blood for a vampire shoot, yeah cuz vampires are so hot right now. The photo results were very lackluster, and yes the girls were still supposed to smize!

Well apparently Alasia is still impressing the judges getting called first for the second week in a row. I just can’t get past her bad attitude in the house, it is one thing to be nasty but insulting Anslees parenting skills? That is unnecessarily below the belt and no one is going to be rooting for you.

America's Next Top Model

Raina was my favorite, though tilting her head up into the light would have made it better.

America's Next Top Model

Tatianna got the bloodiest, hot.

America's Next Top Model

Brenda pulled together a great shot, despite being such a wimp about the lenses and you know everything else in the world.

America's Next Top Model

Alexandra, banging body. Though the judges are worried she is always in side profile.

America's Next Top Model

Jessica, not pushing far enough and again too posed.

America's Next Top Model

Angelea looks bored, but atleast she is not causing drama behind the scenes.

Krista looks dead, literally.

America's Next Top Model

Anslee was put in the bottom two with Simone for all her excuses; struggling in the posing challenge was because she couldn’t hear the instructions and in the shoot she was told to keep grabbing the tub so this bad photo is not her fault either.

America's Next Top Model

I don’t think Simone looked as off as the judges thought but it did take alot to get her here and last weeks hip hop photo was awful too.   And she was sent home.

America's Next Top Model

Brendas new hair is an improvement, though I think a darker dye job would suit her better than this carrot red. This looks like right as Alasia is being called first. I wonder if Jessica and Krista are going to step it up? Right now Tatianna is my favorite tied with Raina.

Americas Next Top Model Season 14 Episode 3

Category: MediaEyeliah

This season of ANTM is really not exciting me, many of the girls lack that wow factor and the house is full of yelling and screaming (which is always awkward and annoying to watch).  I can never understand those you know, rehab shows, shows where a bunch of girls fight over a guy, basically anything which is manufactured to create drama and show people come to odds.  This weeks drama is courtesy of Ren telling Brenda how some girls were making fun of her hair.  This caused Brenda to cover up her Miranda ‘do with a toque (beanie) and piss off Anslee with all her complaining.  I’ve always been the one to not want to know when someone is talking bad about me behind my back and Brendas reaction is exactly why.  It can be totally natural to feel that way, but doesn’t Brenda realize that the reason they talk badly about her is due to jealousy?

This weeks shoot the girls were each taught a specific genre of dance to emulate.

The Judges Favorites

Alasia

I personally think Alasia is not pulling it off in her face and Jessica looked stiff.

My Favorites

Tatianna

Unique pose by Tatianna, she’s got spunk.

Alexandra

Alexandra is working it, her lack of neck is no biggie considering the epicness of this shot.

The Rest

Rainakrista

Tyra was right that Raina should lose the hat, Krista is dreamy though the shot doesn’t read model.

Angelea

Yeah… give Angelea moshing, great idea. And she only tapped into ‘pain’ because of Jay.

AnsleeSimone

Anslee too literal and Simone not committing. Both these shots could have been best of the week if they moved out of their comfort zones.

BrendaRen

Brenda letting the drama get to her & Ren just not caring. Brenda is now getting another makeover Tyra decided, I hope to a dark bob and Ren was sent home.

Did you see what Alasia wore to panel?….. How about Tyra?

P.S. Andre Leon Talley is a fabulous addition to panel.

Americas Next Top Model Season 14 Episode 2

Category: MediaEyeliah

It’s kinda funny how they always make the Top Models take their clothes off right at the beginning.  The contestants were faced with a mannequin covered in accessories and of course had to fight it out to get the accessory of their choice.  The secret challenge of this shoot was to not look too sexy.  As always, please note spoilers ahead.

The Best

America's Next Top Model

Jessica being not boring, modelling from her forehead to her toes.

America's Next Top Model

Raina, so statuesque.

America's Next Top Model

Brenda, my favorite shot.  Is she meant to be a brunette?

The Middle

Anslee, she is in the middle of the pack but I think could pull ahead in the competition as she grows.

Alexandra, plus size my ass – great body.

The Worst

America's Next Top Model

Naduah yawn and needing extra shading…..

America's Next Top Model

Alasia doesn’t really get it.

I know not judges opinion but I do not like this photo of Angelea.

America's Next Top Model

America's Next Top Model

Gabrielle, a deer in the headlights.  She was one of my initial picks and was sent home. :-(  An interesting look does not a model make but perhaps it was the nudity that made her so uncomfortable.

The runway challenge.  Those pendulums were hilarious, watching previews for it all week had me excited and it did not disappoint.  It made me mad that of course only the plus size girl gets knocked off the runway.  Elegant and poised Brenda won the challenge.

America's Next Top Model

The next shoot was to do a Beauty Shot in wind and the rain, while spraying on this purple perfume that disappears quickly.  It sounded ridiculous at first but actually made for stunning photos.  Most of the girls did really well.

The Best

America's Next Top Model

Raina – go go Raina.

America's Next Top Model

Simone selling the perfume to me.

America's Next Top Model

Tatianna, winning me over!

The Middle

Krista so strong.

Jessica looking very pretty with dark hair and lipstick and of course the whoosh.

Uh oh, I actually thick Angelea looks pretty here!

America's Next Top Model

The Worst

America's Next Top Model

Ren, her contacts floating around with all that rain (why not take them out for the shoot).

America's Next Top Model

Alasia, time to send this biotch home.  There was a fight at the house when Ren told her to shut up but did you see the footage? Alasia is very annoying, but I certainly wouldn’t approach her about it with rudeness.

America's Next Top Model

Naduah was sent home and she was another of my initial picks (lol).  In this episode she really showed her true colors as a loner, changing the makeup after the artists were done (um??) and not being photogenic enough.  The judges felt her pretty image didn’t fit with her shaved head and edginess they wanted from her.

Americas Next Top Model Season 14 Episode 1

Category: MediaEyeliah

Last night on the premiere episode of ANTM Cycle 14 they chose the top 13.  (Spoiler Alert)  I was really annoyed to see Angelea there again.  The fact that she got in the house is appalling, she was obviously chosen for the drama she will cause.  The singing and pierced girls didn’t make it in, I feel like they are both so similar to Season 12′s Allison so it made sense to leave them out.

Tyra rocking the fringed shoulders, yes I took a picture of my tv.

First Impressions

Makeovers were done way too soon, whatever happened to waiting until the third week?

Alasia, great rocked out hair – major improvement.

Brenda has an interesting look, I wish Tyra went with her first instinct of a blunt shoulder length cut instead of so so short. LIKE HER

Raina and those bold brows; but with dark hair they make less of an impact. LIKE HER

Tatianna, maybe it’s just the lipstick that makes this look awful. I’m bored.

Simone with a shaved side, so hot (I still want to rock this look myself).

Anslee, the makeup is throwing me off.

Naduah is stunning, of course she was picked first. ADORE HER

Ren, maybe too edgy? I feel awful saying it but I’m bored.

Gabrielle, looked great before and after the makeover. ADORE HER

Angelea, trying to soften her up with this do so lets see if it works.

Jessica, I’m bored.

Alexandra, what a beautiful “plus size” woman.

Krista, looked better pre-makeover.  That skin is flawless too bad she is already 24.

Americas Next Top Model Season 13 Episode 12

Category: MediaEyeliah

So this is it!! The moment we have all been waiting for, The Finale.

I have to say I was looking forward to the format change of having only the top two in the final show as I mentioned last week, cutting down from the top three in one hour always felt a bit squished. It was great to have all this extra time for our final two gals. They spent the first twenty minutes making it look like Laura is the front runner with her ‘better personality’, ‘walk’ and equally as nice photos. I use quotations as at that point last night my opinion is Nicole is a shoe in for the winner, I’ve felt that way since the first episode as I’m certain many others did too. The girls do their Seventeen magazine shoot and then the Cover Girl commercial and print ad.

From the commercial.
Laura overcame her dyslexia in a big way really impressing the judges, but some of her words were not enunciated well enough. Nicole came off a bit snobby to Jay and Tyra said Nicole forgot she was a model in between her lines but still quite liked her take.

Competing print ads.
Laura looks amazing, so fresh and approachable yet the pose may be a bit too simple.

Nicole is beyond gorgeous with that fire in her eyes (and hair) though a little stiff in the corners of the mouth.

Where can I get my hands on this sparkle in a can?

They brought back eliminated contestants Erin, Jennifer, Sundai and Brittany to take part in the final runway show.

Judges waiting for the Fire, Wind and Water show to begin.

Laura really nailed the catwalk, she looked like she has years of runway experience. When she tore that scarf off her face I got goosebumps! Anyone else?

Nicole doing her signature walk, gosh it was pretty awful but at 5’7″ and under these girls probably won’t be doing much catwalk.

The wet look.

Can you guess who won? Click below to find out and leave your thoughts!
