The color and texture palettes of beautiful apartments have been inspiring my outfit choices lately. If it’s not in the budget to renovate the living room, at least you can renovate your outfit!
Hints of red and green mixed with white, caramel and grey.
I’ve been revamping my style lately. I cleaned out all (!!) my floral skirts, a lot of pink and anything that is worn out, damaged in any way and unspecial things I rarely wear. I ended up with a giant pile!
In the past few weeks to replenish my wardrobe I’ve shopped with my mom, been to thrift stores a few too many times, a random clothing swap put on by a public group, a second hand sale put on by a local group of shopaholics and then hosted a clothing swap of my own. As a result I now have a few very flattering dresses, three pairs of shorts to wear with leggings, some different tops and a few great pairs of footwear. It is exciting to evolve my style from me five years ago into something that suits me now. Soon I’ll show you some of the new items in my closet.
I have a few too many winter coats, I need to get six down to three or four.
Especially considering the first three look almost identical!
Classic wool, boring but perfect in the November rain and overized puffy. I need to keep at least one of these.
Cute corduroy, my favorite faux and preppy plaid.
Which would you keep?
The faux fur ain’t going!
They are bigger on my face than I thought they would be but I like them.
They are by Prodesign Denmark and my first ever statement frames.
Are now in the trash, must find a replacement pair of favorite boots.
And why did I get rid of this cute yellow dress? I think maybe the zipper broke…. but I miss it.
There was an EPIC clothing swap last night, Karina came over with some AMAZING pieces that left our group overwhelmed. We all left with more than we brought thanks to her. I can’t wait to show you the great party dresses and a line skirts that will now happily live in my closet. Soon, as I am currently off to a yoga class.
