It’s In My Blood

Category: My OutfitsEyeliah @ 10:58 am

I recently acquired a new to me brown tiered cotton skirt at a clothing swap.  I was quite excited at this find as I used to own a brown tiered cotton skirt that I loved so much I wore it to death literally.  Here is the new skirt and the old skirt, I tried to semi recreate the look.

With a side by side comparison the new skirt is actually better with a more flattering length and a line cut.  I never wear this sun hat anymore and you can see why, I live in a small space so it hasn’t been neatly keep in a hat box but rather folded in half with a multitude of other hats in a hat box.

Another new to me find I am loving is this recycled Ikea chair, it is so comfortable for reading on the patio in the afternoon.  I just finished Bossypants, Tina Fey is a hilarious writer.  For my book club I am currently reading Shantaram and House of the Spirits (for some reason we choose two books) and I am also reading Farenheit 451.  There is a lot of options for what I am in the mood to read.

Oooh, I hope you like House of the Spirits. I had to read that for my International Women’s Literature class and it is FANTASTIC. I do recommend doing some research on the history of Chile before delving into it or you won’t understand some of the incredibly important political parts of the book. It’s a much a book about Chile during the political movements of the 20th century, as it is about the women in the Trueba household.

You’ll have to tell me how you like it afterwards. 🙂
