I decided to go out and get a cute backpack to support better health. Purses can cause neck, shoulder and lower back pain and even throw off the spine’s alignment. Plus I am running around teaching yoga classes and going to the beach so a backpack matches my outfits.
I thought it would be easy to find a backpack but boy I was wrong! I went all up and down famous Robson Street ducking in and out of luggage stores, shoe stores and even clothing stores like American Apparel, Aritzia and Roots. The closest maybes were a couple of bright bags at American Apparel but I wasn’t sold on the size and $55 price tag. I felt a a bit discouraged but still hopeful that my bag was out there. Later on I was walking by the Aldo Outlet (and Aldo never has backpacks) and ended up finding a plethora to choose from, all marked down with an extra 30% off. I must have tried every one, they were all cool and stylish.
I ended up choosing this super cute striped bag for $23! I am a huge fan of any design that incorporates red and pink so that way it will always match either red or pink.
On each side thee is a zippered pocket which you can reach while still wearing the bag, brilliant design! I put my water bottle in one, cel phone in the other. And it gets even more brilliant…. the flap closure is loose, so you can put a beach blanket there, or in this case a pillow. Sometimes I like to bring a pillow to the water so I can lay out and read.
Only negative is the shoulder straps on this backpack suck, I had to reinforce with numerous safety pins as the clasp constantly comes undone. But still I must say I love this backpack, I’m going to call Aldo to see if they have any left to get a backup bag….
This is my last outfit from before the pink hair.
