I am quite aware that I’ve done Style Symmetry a disservice over the past year.  It was a year of growing pains for me and as a result my outfit quality diminished, posting waned and commenting on blogs slowed down.  It’s natural that as my life changes so will the blog but today I can’t help reminiscing about the good old days.  I admit I worry the peak of Style Symmetry has come and gone.  Thoughts of making blog related New Years Resolutions have swirled in my head but I have to be realistic, right now I need to focus on finding a job and losing ten pounds to take care of my knee.

Life HAS to come before the blog!

My priorities are clear and I don’t think I will be able to devote extra time to the blog.  Of course I will continue to post when I can.  I’ve already received requests for yoga outfit posts which I will work on and perhaps job hunting and weight loss posts will find their way onto these pages as well.

What are your top priorities right now? any resolutions?

No worries – we all understand that life comes before blogging. I’ve had to cut back a lot on posting and commenting myself, since there just isn’t as much free time now that I work full time.

I personally would love to see more yoga related posts. I’ve been practicing for about half a year now, and I find it so interesting to read about other’s journeys with yoga.

Happy New Year Eyeliah! Maybe SS hasn’t peaked and on the wane as such: maybe it’s just going to be different now, which is not the same thing. Maybe you will lose some readers that are not interested in going on your journey with you, but by the same token you will pick up readers that are.

It’s an exciting opportunity to reinvent your blog as you continue to reinvent yourself. Lots of people post every day, but many only post when they have something to say/show, which is fine. I think it’s healthy that life comes before your blog. I look forward to whatever you may post in 2011, whenever you may post it.

Happy New Year! It’s so easy to let a blog take over your life and I need to concentrate on letting life take the lead too. These things become so time consuming!

But you know we all adore you. It doesn’t matter how often you post, we just like hearing from you periodically to stay in touch! Hugs!

    Happy New Year!

happy new year! I’m totally with you – life comes first!

there’s not much ‘life’ beside work in my life this time, so there’s enough time for bli-bla-blogland. no changes for that.
in 2011 i want to come back to life and love…

This year, I want things to happen. Things I need to make happen myself, because my current attitude of just waiting patiently is making me wonder if I’m going to waste my life waiting. That’s kind of a big mental shift, and I worry I won’t be able to do it. I’m going to hope for the best.

I hope 2011 is a great year for you, and life before blog, makes sense.
    Happy New Year!

I have no blog-related resolutions either! Some things just end up being a chore if you force yourself to do them, rather than a pleasure. I’m resolving to spend more of my free time drawing and writing, to write some real letters, and to spend more time with my family.
