If you read the intro on the last (giveaway) post, I said something about being busy and that you wouldn’t believe it. What was supposed to happen was Thursday I should have left for Portland to cover a music festival. I would have been checking out 20+ shows, filming bands and interviews, partying with rockstars… you know, my typical long weekend. Unfortunately two days prior it fell through (sad face). I was raised not to get my hopes up so I swear I didn’t. I truly didn’t believe I was going to meet Billy Corgan or The National and wouldn’t have believed it until it was actually happening (which of course it did not). I feel lucky to have this mentality so I’m not too disappointed. And I still get to see The National by heading to Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park tonight. Billy……our day will come.

You’re handling this remarkably well. I’d be crushed.

That sucks that it fell through – sounds like it would have been awesome. At least you get to see The National.

awwww, that’s so sad (I would be immensely depressed and halfway through a gallon of ice cream). I hope another opportunity comes soon!

I’ve been raised to expect the worst of every situation (or what some might call paranoia.
Hopefully another chance will come along!
