The Olympics End

Category: LifeEyeliah @ 9:30 pm

From my apartment I can still here people screaming, lighting fireworks, honking horns, shaking cowbells…..

After Canada’s Hockey Team lost the lead with 30 seconds left in the 3rd I decided to be an optimist and head out to Granville Street with a friend to watch the overtime period.  Luckily we caught the winning goal while peering into a pub woooooo, Congratulations Canada!

I love the girl to your right in the white “chiefs” jersey! My friends and I went bowling tonight– we were so mad when we saw the closing ceremonies on the TV but couldn’t hear them!! We actually debated whether to go home to someone’s house and watch the closing ceremonies. Geesh!!!

what a cute pic of you! it looks like everyone is having so much fun. this is sappy, but i really do get kinda teary-eyed when something happens to bring everyone together to root for the same thing. in nyc, it’s the marathon. and being in vancouver for the olympics has to be like that moment times 100! how awesome that you got to be right in the thick of it.

Congrats to Canada, though I am so sad for our USA underdogs — they came so close! And, since the main scoring line of the San Jose Sharks was on team Canada, I wanted them to lose the gold so they’d be hungrier for the Stanley Cup! Marlowe, Thornton, and Heatley better not let me down come playoffs time!
