She’s Buckled Up on Navy

Category: My OutfitsEyeliah

Warning mini rant in this paragraph! Anybody watch Whip It yet from Miss Drew Barrymore? I’m halfway through (bedtime came early last night) and I am really enjoy the styling, characters (hello Juliette Lewis) and soundtrack.  What I am not happy with (SPOILER ALERT – skip to the outfit if you haven’t yet seen this movie) is the typical Hollywood story line direction it’s moving in, a pageant meet up just happens to be on the same day as the big game, Iron Maven just happens to overhear the one time Bliss mentions she is 17.  So let me guess….. she goes to the pageant thing with her mother, gives her inspirational speech where in the middle she confesses she has to leave and upsets her mother, goes to the big game – is winning but then Iron Maven calls her out for being underage so they are forced to forfeit the game and she will temporarily lose the support of her teammates, but don’t worry she will win them all back and her mom will be there to see it and start to support her roller-derbying ways.  Ugh, I hope I am wrong!

To The Outfit

Remember when I asked you for helpful suggestions for styling my white and navy skirt?
It was Jessica‘s idea I was dying to try first since I have the perfect navy striped top, then I added in Megan‘s suggestion for grey. Thanks ladies!
