Angel’s Words: I am Jewish but my Dad is Christian so I grew up with Hannuka and Christmas. I know how fun it is to dress up for Christmas and how much effort needs to go into a Christmas outfit. And I also know how Red and Green together when done wrong you can end up looking like an elf! So I’ve been on Polyvore to show you how to dress in Red and Green stylishly.
The first outfit is a green strapless dress with red accessories. The reason I went for a darker red is because of the slight plum/maroon in the pattern of the dress. This could be worn to a Christmas party or even at home which is why I added the slippers. Who wants to be wearing stilettos while cooking on Christmas day?
The second outfit is for the relaxed day at home, if you want to get out of your pj’s but still be comfortable. I went for a simple Jean, a very very cool Cardigan that really fits in to the military trend this winter. I love this green top, and the ruffle shoulder detail. The sneakers just work for a day at home this Christmas.
The last look isn’t technically red and green in the sense we think of at this time of year, but I really wanted to go for a pastel look to show that you can be festive without being traditionally red and green. I would love to have this mint green bag and the shoes! But I started building this outfit with the skirt: it’s cute, has cute detailing without overpowering the outfit. I then found a simple mint green top and the accessories that I’ve been dying for for ages.
Angel has just changed her blog to Angel’s Style Scrapbook (http://www.angelsstylescrapbook.blogspot.com) where she talks about her inspirations, outfits, and just fashion in general. I hope you’ll go and stop by.
