Get Up And Shake The Glitter Off Your Clothes Now

Category: My OutfitsEyeliah @ 4:45 pm

The full moon was shining so bright into the window it woke me up in the middle of the night.
I just love how it was reflecting on the water and the faint view of snow on the mountains. Weird things tend to happen around the full moon, though I try not to be superstitious it is uncanny.

Which superstitions do you / did you believe?

Friday the thirteenth is an unlucky day
A rabbit’s foot brings good luck
An apple a day keeps the doctor away
To find a four-leaf clover is to find good luck
If a black cat crosses your path you will have bad luck
To break a mirror will bring you seven years bad luck
To find a horseshoe brings good luck
You can break a bad luck spell by turning seven times in a clockwise circle
Garlic protects from evil spirits and vampires
Our fate is written in the stars
At the end of a rainbow is a pot of gold
Clothes worn inside out will bring good luck
Wearing your birthstone will bring you good luck
Blow out all of the candles on your birthday cake and your wish comes true
An itchy palm means money will come your way
A beginner will always have good luck: beginner’s luck
A cat has nine lives
Crossing your fingers helps to avoid bad luck and helps a wish come true
To refuse a kiss under mistletoe causes bad luck
Goldfish in the pond bring good luck
For good luck, wear new clothes on Easter
Bride must wear: something old, new, borrowed and blue
Washing a car will bring rain
Evil spirits cannot harm you when you are standing in a circle
To give someone a purse or wallet without money in it will bring that person bad luck

Remember how grey skied my last outfit post was? Roughly the same time of the morning for today’s shot and it was bright and beautiful go figure. It’s also the coldest day we’ve had yet this season at -1C/30F. I tried another soft tone outfit with an unexpected bright pair of leggings. I was running out of time or I would have altered this outfit a bit and taken more pictures but not every day can be a mega planned look and a photshoot. 🙂 Today is the last day to enter for the Orient Ladies Watch and I’ve been working my but off to get everything ready for tomorrows blogaversary! If I haven’t been by your blog in the last 24 it’s because of all this excitement business and I promise to be back soon.

WOw, the moon is ABSO GORG.
    And so are your tights!

  2. Bug says:

I don’t really have any superstitions I believe in. Love your outfit and those tights are so cute and bright!!

  3. Jenny says:

You look great! Even though I think I’m very superstitious, none of those are really raising the hair on my arms or anything. Maybe I’m more paranoid than superstitious.

    Anyway, your tights are great!
    xo Jenny

    Such a pretty picture!

Also love the colours and dress in the outfit!

  5. Clare says:

I was admiring the full moon the other day, too. It looked so huge over the Chicago skyline. I love the print on that dress!!

  6. renr says:

When I was young I used to believe that if I pointed to the moon directly, it would respond viciously while I slept. This was solely the idea of my mum who said that her ear was cut after she pointed at the moon =_= (but my mum is fond of making up stuff like that so totally not serious haha)

I love the pastel RGB colour scheme in your outfit! The print on your dress is especially lovely <3

Absolutely gorgeous middle of the night view!
Reminds me of the time, back in Toronto, I lived in a high rise and I used to wake up at sunrise to take photos of it, hehe, each morning was a new kind of sunrise.
I’m not superstitious, only when I want to be, funny 😉 I do have an apple a day though.

  8. Missa says:

Of course the four-leaf clover is lucky 😉

Beautiful scene to wake up to!
