Faux Camping

Category: LifeEyeliah @ 6:30 pm

Last minute yesterday I decided to go ‘Faux Camping’ with friends.  The faux refers to the fact that we are in a cabin with heat, running water and electricity.  Mad said her grandparents literally built the house out of a box (boxes?) in the 1960s.  It was a very lovely, quaint step back in time.  Just as I get home I am invited out to Malkin Bowl to see Franz Ferdinand, I was going to go anyway and listen outside for free (it’s an outdoor venue) but unfortunately a sick friend cannot make it so I am using their ticket.  Now I don’t have much time to post before I gotta get going!  Here are some pics from Faux Camping including my first attempts at rock balancing.  I’ll see y’all tomorrow.  P.S. I am so happy with my new camera.

These are great shots. It makes me homesick for rocky beaches and evergreen forests.
Also, in all my childhood I never went camping. My family has a lake cabin too so my mother didn’t see the point in sleeping on the ground with spiders and no bathroom if we could stay at the cabin. I don’t feel I missed out on anything though.

Very pretty. Esp. like the sun carving on the driftwood. Fun to try rock stacking – like your one with the two rocks! Looks like a piece of furniture.
