It’s crazy how big an impact losing the blog for 5 days has had on Style Symmetry; site view are down to what they were 6 months ago, meaning 6 months worth of growth has been erased. I am determined to get the readership back up to where it was within the next month….
Any advice or tips for me you geniuses?
It’s been hot so I’ve been wearing as little as possible. This first dress is very 90s throwback with it’s spaghetti straps and cute little mirrors and embroidery. I’ve had it a while but had to repair some of the details before it could be worn.

I’m with you, been wearing as little as possible in the heat. I’ve been busting out some dresses that I normally never wear without tights! Nothing like a heat wave to force you to get comfortable with your thighs!

That’s the thing! I took a week off and my views went WAAAAY down. This is problem with blogging – you have to do it every day, all the time or else it suffers. It’s wierd though…the longer you go between posts, the more comments you get but the less readers. Huh.

Yes, the more you post the more readers you’ll get. Can you email past commenters/subscribers and let them know you’re back? Maybe announce it in some forums or social networking sites etc. Really you probably will just have to give it some time but your readers will find their way back. Good luck!

I found your blog through Wardrobe_Remix and I’m sure others did too. But it’s sometimes not easy to find out stuff in Flickr. So make it easy for your fans and new soon-to-be fans. Mention your blog address as a sig after the description you give for each pic – like: blah blah dress, shoes, etc and then “check out my blog!” at the end (though a bit perkier than that obviously!).
I agree that a blogger needs to post at least every other day to keep her stats up (unless you’re Dooce of course!!).
I for one, re-welcome you to the fray!

I’ve found that the best ways to increase site views are 1) comment on as many blogs as possible, 2) hold a giveaway and 3) be mentioned in a Tweet by someone who has a lot of followers.
