Still in limbo, but it is unlikely I will continue on with Style Symmetry if the archives are lost. My site host accidentally deleted the blog moving the database. Since it was their error they are doing everything they can to retrieve it. So for now I am just stopping by to say hello, and show you my new camera I got for a new project.
Life goes on. 🙂

I’d be so frustrated if I were you! I hope they can retrieve all your old posts! I’d be such a shame if all got lost 🙁 Hope your blog’ll be running back soon but enjoy the break for now 😀 (oh and re: question @ Twitter, I use Godaddy and think it’s pretty good – never had any issues and the help desk is very fast and friendly)

    – I sure hope they find your site & apologize BIG time with some $$ and free site-time –

I hope your archives are salvaged! I would be really angry if I were in your situation :S But you’re right, life does go on, and starting over with a clean slate isn’t so bad either!

On one hand, I’d hate to see Style Symmetry leave as I’ve enjoyed it very much. But “When one door closes, another one opens.” So who knows what lies ahead. . . Good luck!

WHAAAA??? Girl, you are so prolific, that lost archives don’t matter. In a few months you’d have a sizable archive. Also, really, I very very rarely bother going back into the archive of a blog; it’s mostly about the fresh daily content. You don’t owe anyone anything, and you can certainly stop blogging if that’s really want. But don’t let it be because of a stupid silly technological mishap.

Look at this as a way to let go of your past and face the future! You don’t need your archives!

That is a very bad mistake from them, but if they can’t save anything you should not quit your blog, I will miss it. Most of the time visitors don’t really check the archives unless is a new blog, but it is sad to loose the memories that each post has. I have a friend that has a blog and he can access his database from his computer, he uses Firezila (or something like it) and the hosting place (godaddy.com, I don’t know if you heard of them) doesn’t get much involved, I guess my friend knows a lot about computers, anyways, good luck and don’t quit what you enjoy. If it is necessary, start all over again, all your readers will follow you and you will get new ones too.

Well I’m having trouble posting this comment but here goes: I think they’ve salvaged your archive because I can see posts back to December 2007. Sounds like maybe your host needs a kick up the bum!
