Pull The Outfit Colors Out of the Print

Category: My OutfitsEyeliah @ 3:15 pm

Often I tend to go towards a well matched look for my office. As I now have blue hair it is especially helpful to look pretty and pulled together. To be well matched when wearing a print I pick my other outfit colors out of the print and then complete with neutrals. There is an icy blue in the skirt print so this cardigan was an easy match and then the rest of the look is those neutral tones. Yes, in this instance I do classify light pink a neutral. This floral could also be nicely paired with navy, greens and oranges. It went missing in the back of my closet for a year so I am very happy to have it back in rotation, it has pockets.

Parting my hair at the far left creates a new effect and the blue becomes a very subtle highlight. I love this versatility.

Welcome to the world of blue hair! The blue turned out very nice. I’ve recently actually got rid of the blond highlights and went for a jet black that blended in more with the blue. Turned out quite well.

That skirt is really pretty. I like the idea of “down playing” the blue hair to/styling against the assumptions that come with it. 🙂

Cool! I love what you’ve done to your hair with a different part. The subtle blue looks cute –like a nice surprise. My latest obsession is skirts with pockets, too! I love your outfit here.
