Two Old Belts

Category: ProjectsEyeliah

To celebrate my two new belts, I am getting rid of two old belts. The beige belt is already in the garbage, but the studded belt is harder for me to toss. It has lost a couple of studs but it’s still fairly wearable and even fixable with a quick diy. Does anyone want it?? I’d hate to toss it if it’s desirable, comment or email if you want me to send it to you.
Edit: The belt has been claimed. :-)

Sisters are Doin’ It for Themselves

Another five minute masterpiece, lol.  Promise I am starting to get up earlier.  Tonight I am getting ready for the Clothing Swap and watching ANTM.  Have a good night. :-)

The Best Thrifting Tip I Can Give You

Category: How To,I ShopEyeliah

The best thrifting tip I can give you is that you’ve got to go OFTEN!

I went on Thursday and spent way WAY too long trying on all the pants and jeans in my size (I really need a new pair!). Since I had no luck there, I made sure to also check all the shoes and skirts and even a trip through the jackets and blouses. Yes, pretty much the whole store.

This cream and gold bubble skirt was a dream, just not for me. And the gorgeous electric blue velvet blazer had a couple of noticeable stains, so no thanks.

Luckily I did not go away empty handed, this little white skirt will be perfect as an under skirt to show off the lace trim and the sparkly top is a fun dressy piece. Someone had dropped off as HUGE amount of costume and 80s jewelry, all I really had to have were these bright blue earrings, and I got this single (searched for the twin) fan earring for 50 cents. Total spent $12.50.

After such a hugely stressful (oh yes it was) shopping excursion I would normally wait a while to go back to the same store, but 5 days later something was pulling me in. After a couple laps I found these two killer belts. Yes, you can have my six dollars.
So the moral of the story, check back often as stock changes daily.

Look of the Day ~ Angie of I Heart Norwegian Wood

Angie took my breathe away in this dress, and it only cost her five bucks. What a perfect wedding dress – wow wow! I am still dying to purchase a harness belt and fringe necklace from her etsy shop, she is such a talented designer.

Happy St. Patty’s!!!

Category: My OutfitsEyeliah

Two outfit posts in a row, I apologize. I have not yet adjusted to the time change and I am sure it shows in my outfits as I’m left with only 10 minutes each morning to pick something out. I liked it better when I had a solid 20 minutes, so I will definitely start to set my alarm earlier (and will not hit snooze more than once!). So far the only looks I’ve shown that were taken since the the time change are the last two; the red sweater with pink skirt and my new prairie dress. I have a few outfit posts ‘saved up’ from last week that I am not so proud of, but I’ll make sure to post them anyway. :-)

These photos here were taken in the last hour, Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Any plans? I’m hoping to drink green beer.
