~Five Minute Dress Makeover~
This dress looked super cute in the thrift store. Once I tried it on it was super frumpy! It has a blousy top (hate those) and the length was all wrong (+ the bottom half of the skirt is too cute to simply cut short).
In the changeroom I found the hem was easily brought up with a belt so decided to fork over the $5. Once home I made the look complete with accessories and now I am sure this dress will get much use. By next season I will most likely cut off the top half, sew it up and work with it as a long skirt/tube dress. I am so in love with it!! 2nd pic is clickable for more details.

Sheer Floral Dress, Thrifted: $5
Leather & Canvas Belt, Thrifted same day: $1
Mother of Pearl Bracelet, Thrifted: $1
Brown Leather Purse, Consignment: $7
Blue Tights, The Bay: $10
Gold Ballet Flats, Aldo: $30
P.S. I’d really like to do a high-and-low look, if only I could afford the high!

Good Job:
Keep it as shirt dress. It looks great already.
A big green purse may be to add??

I have a small green purse, no big one. You have a green bag I can use?
