~Symmetry Star~ Katherine Hepburn

Category: InspirationEyeliah @ 3:40 pm

Katherine Hepburn was way ahead of her time (and StyleSymmetry’s as well). In suits with feminine tailoring, her signature waves of red hair and a strong distinctive voice she commanded the screen. A Philadelphia Story is my favorite movie of all time although, Jimmy Stewart and Cary Grant also have something to do with that. As well as Morning Glory, Little Women, The African Queen and on and on. Could you imagine how different Gone With The Wind would have been if she had accepted the role of Scarlett? Of course she didn’t, and that’s why we love her. Katherine on Fashion: “I wear my sort of clothes to save me the trouble of deciding which clothes to wear.” *Sigh*, if only it was that easy for the rest of us.

I love how feminine and sexy she was in clothes that were still traditionally ‘masculine.’ I would also love to have her cheekbones. 🙂

She was a real clothes hanger–perfect body for that. No hips, thin rib cage. Still, the man’s suit suits any body type really, and is always a good choice. Ask me, I’ve been dependent on them for years.
